Village Scarecrow Event 2020
The Friends of Hollingworth recently held their first Scarecrow competition event. The theme was ‘Heroes’ and we are pleased to say the participation by our village was outstanding.
The cash prizes and certificates have been awarded to the top 3. Thank you to Councillor Janet Cooper for carrying out the difficult task of deciding the winners – we know there was little separating the entries. Thanks also to Andrea White who suggested the event and motivated everyone.
As always, Hollingworth people rose to the occasion and we all owe a big “Thank You” to all those who brightened up the village, gave lots of enjoyment and a reason to walk around the village. This seems likely to become an annual event.
