The Annual Purple Crocus campaign

Friends of Hollingworth together with Friends of Etherow Lodge Park have been planting crocus in the village and Etherow Lodge park for the past three years. The crocus are purchased with the proceeds of the joint Easter event at the park.
Up to 5000 have been purchased each year.
The crocus are all purple and are purchased from the rotary  club as part of their campaign to raise funds for Polio eradication worldwide. Members of Glossop Rotary club also come and help us plant the crocus.
The crocus can been found in various locations around the village. Keep your eye out for sprouting purple crocus in early Spring. We hope to repeat the planting campaign in 2020.
