A huge well done to everybody that took part in the FOH Scarecrow competition 2021.
The theme this year was book characters. All the entries were fantastic!
The winners were chosen by our judge and Labour Councillor for Longdendale, Jaqueline North.
£15 1st prize, £10 2nd prize and £5 3rd prize have now been delivered, and chocolates all round. Well done 🏆🌾

1st Place: 46 Green Lane with Little Red Riding Hood and the wolf.
The wolf in grannies shawl peering out of the window was a great touch, I saw it out of the corner of my eye just like in any good fairy story.
2nd Place: 2 Woolley Close Mary Poppins
Just like Mary herself it was practically perfect in every way!
3rd Place : 102 Woolley Lane Dr Seuss and friends

“I was also very glad to see that Peter Rabbit had been well supplied with his favourite foods so wouldn’t be raiding anyone’s garden, that Hermione Grainger , one of my favourite literary characters, was still flying high and probably off to visit Harry who was holidaying in Heather Grove. Mr Happy , The Tiger Who Came to Tea and Paddington were lovely choices and each brought back some happy memories.”
